 This is the oldest section within the group. Our Troop meets on a Friday evening at HQ.
Activities are generally more adventurous than the younger sections with camping, hiking, climbing, abseiling and Youth Hostelling often spread over weekends. This often brings us into conflict with other activities the youngsters are doing and also homework from school etc. Added to the Leader’s work schedules, we get a situation whereby it is sometimes difficult to plan.
The age range for Scouts is flexible. Officially it is from ten and a half to fourteen but we can take from ten until fifteen subject to working on a certain activity badge.
